Belen Pena
Belén is a PhD student in the Design School at Northumbria University, where she is supervised by John Vines and Lars Erik Holmquist. Her research is about participatory design, older adults and financial services.
Before that, Belén was an interaction designer for over 10 years, helping companies to build software that makes sense to the people who use it. She spent 5 of those 10 years working on free and open source software at Intel. She helped create the Open Source Design group, and has contributed to projects like OpenEmbedded, Patchwork and SecureDrop.
